You may remember in May when I asked you to vote for me for your favorite Chester County Studio Tour artist. You answered the call (THANK YOU!!!) and I won the top artist prize of $500

This past weekend was my opportunity to give back during the Pennsylvania Dutch Farm to Fork Fondo in Lancaster County, PA, an organized bicycle ride where cyclists choose the distance and stop for chef-prepared bites at farms along the way.

The County Studio Tour was asked to share their mission statement and artistic talent with Floyd's Pennsylvania Dutch bike riders. They invited me to help out and bring the County Studio Tour’s mission: "To promote regional artists and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the area by presenting original artwork" to Lancaster County.

Our group of four Chester County artists, Andy Vernon, Jeff Schaller, Susan O'Hanlon and I, joined together and cheered on the cyclists at an aid station along the 80+ mile bike race. We flagged riders in, cut up and served watermelon, sang, danced, laughed, filled water bottles, played with cute children and gave lots of encouragement.
