On Mondays, I paint with the gifted and talented Georganna Lenssen at the Wayne Art Center.  I've been painting flowers for so long that I thought it would be fun to try my hand at cows.  This particular cow was one I spotted during a leisurely drive through Lancaster County.  She is lovingly named after my daughter's energetic rescue dog, Rosie.

I started by toning the canvas with transparent oils.

Georganna giving a demo on painting loosely and spontaneously. Check our her amazing work HERE.  I like that she's pushing me outside my comfort zone.  Watch for more fun paintings to come!

Rosie the cow's namesake.

"Rosie," [the cow] framed 8 x 10-inch oil painting can be found on view at Yves Delorme in Bryn Mawr, PA.
